DESCRIPTION:Topic: Workplace Safety around Domestic and Sexual Abuse\n\nDefining domestic and sexual abuse\, understanding the employers role and how to support employees in abuse situations.\n\n\n\nFacilitator: Sandra Schlaefer\, King & Companies\, ChHC and RHU\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Shelly Peters\n\nShelly has been a longtime volunteer for 360 communities at the Lewis House shelter\, in the armful of love holiday program and in the food shelves. She became a full time employee in 2017 as a Family Support Worker\, helping students and families in middle and elementary school settings. Shelly joined the Violence Prevention team and became the Community Educator for 360 communities in October of 2019. She travels to schools and organizations all over Dakota County teaching about healthy relationships\, sexual and domestic violence\, and the importance of building healthy communities. She is passionate that education is the essential tool for prevention.\n\n\n\nThe HR Roundtable program is designed to provide legislative\, compliance\, education\, trends and insights for South Metro employers.  Register for one program or the whole series. \n\n\n\nRegistered attendees will receive link to attend virtual meeting "live"\, participate in Q&A with speakers and share experiences with other attendees.  Attendees will also receive a link to recorded presentation after the event in case they could not attend in the "live" session or want to review the program again.
