Employers are invited to learn about hosting a Burnsville High School student through the BEN One91 Student Pathways Paid Work Experience. This experience is designed to help students plan, prepare and develop skills for the work world while connecting BHS students and potential local employers.

Benefits of the experience for students: 

• Earn workplace skills certificate. 
• Enhance high school Pathways learning through real-world experience. 
• Develop networking and workplace communication skills. 
• Earn $15 per hour for work experience. 
• Earn 1 Credit, requirements attached. 

About Burnsville Business Education Network
The Burnsville Business Education Network (BEN) was developed in December 2017 to connect employers with education to help students become future ready and community strong. All BEN programs are geared towards developing core skills and supporting District 191’s Pathways program and Profile of a Learner.

District 191 has created four career paths with 14 distinct Pathways — with more in development — for students to explore as they navigate through their high school education. The four career paths include Arts, Global Communications & Information Systems; Business Management & Entrepreneurship; Design, Engineering & Manufacturing Technology; and Health Sciences & Human Services. These valuable experiences support students as they learn what lights them up to start blazing their path for life beyond high school.
